非农就业数据超过预期，美联储主席鲍威尔主动表态，让大家降低近期降息的预期。据英国《金融时报》2月4日报道，美联储主席杰伊·鲍威尔2月4日在哥伦比亚广播公司（CSB）的《60分钟》节目中表示，美联储的利率制定者仍预计今年将降息3次，每次约25个基点。
鲍威尔表示，美联储需要降息之前获得更多“信心”，如果行动太快的话会再次刺激通胀。他表示，目前的加息没有引发经济或就业市场的急剧放缓，劳动力市场仍然非常强劲。如果通货膨胀持续，美联储会更晚降息。但美联储不会等到通胀率跌到2%才开始降息。如果通胀将在今年前六个月继续下降，这些数据将为今年年中左右的降息铺平道路
