第一太平(00142)：MPIC拟发行新股份 筹资约2.645亿美元
第一太平(00142)发布公告，于2023年11月8日，公司持有间接经济权益约48.2%的菲律宾联号公司MPIC与 MPHI(公司菲律宾联号公司)、MIG、Mit-Pacific及GSIS各自订立认购协议，据此，MPHI、MIG、Mit-Pacific及GSIS各自同意认购认购股份，而MPIC同意配发及发行认购股份，总认购价约为149亿披索(约相等于2.645亿美元或21亿港元)，以现金支付。
MPIC为菲律宾其中一间最大的基建投资管理及控股公司，投资于该国最大的供电商、收费道路营运商、供水商及轻铁营运。MPIC亦于健康护理、石油储存、农业及房地产持有投资。MPIC的财务业绩现时综合于集团的财务报表内。认购协议完成后，集团将持有MPIC流通普通股约46.2%权益。
预期认购协议项下拟进行的交易所得款项总额约为2.645亿美元(约相等于21亿港元)。董事会相信，认购协议项下拟进行的交易将加强MPIC的资本结构，为MPIC 带来筹集资金的良机，以应付其不同投资及营运资金需要，并因此有利于MPIC及集团。
