U.S. stock futures climbed while oil tumbled after Trump said the Iran conflict could end “very soon.”
Dow futures rose 145 points, with S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures up about 0.3%. Oil, which briefly spiked near $120 on fears of Strait of Hormuz disruptions, later plunged below $92 as markets reacted to hopes of de-escalation.
Geopolitical tensions still keep markets on edge, but for now, easing oil prices are giving equities some breathing room.
