汇通网8月23日讯——新西兰联储主席惠勒（Wheeler）周二（8月23日）称，仍致力于实现通胀目标，看不到快速宽松的必要性，也看不到不改变政策的必要性；当前利率处于正轨之上，料未来可能会再降息35个基点。
惠勒还表示，在市场动荡之际，货币政策面临挑战；当前的90天期汇票贴现率追踪经济中的风险平衡；如果风险要求，将会微调政策；此外，对货币政策的预期通常先于实际情况。
该行进一步表示，8月降息主要原因是通胀预期；灵活的通胀目标最适合于当前框架，低通胀可能降低通胀预期；快速降息将进一步刺激房地产市场，并可能造成增长的不可持续。
