凯投宏观副首席北美经济学家斯蒂芬·布朗斯蒂芬·布朗表示，令人失望的消费者信心可能会拖累今年上半年的消费。
不过，布朗也对通胀预期上升不以为然。
他在一份报告中表示:“汽油价格上涨可能是消费者通胀预期反弹的原因，尽管后者尚未达到引发任何严重担忧的水平。此外，还值得记住的是，长期以来，通胀预期指标都是在临时数据发布时出现的，但在最终数据发布时又被下调。”
