如果一个建筑师建造了一所房子，那么，如果房子倒塌了，并导致屋主死亡，则造房子的建筑师应被处死。如果导致屋主的儿子死亡，那么建筑师的儿子应该赔偿。如果造成屋主的奴隶死亡，那么建筑师应该赔偿屋主一个同等价值的奴隶。
——所以，最佳的风险管理规则就是让建筑师自己控制风险，从一开始就设定反诱因，防止一个人在旅行其职责的过程中伤害到别人，从而挽救他人的生命。
