Menurut Statistik Kanada, Tingkat Pertumbuhan PDB meningkat lebih dari yang diperkirakan sebesar 1,0% secara tahunan selama periode Oktober-Desember, membalikkan kontrak tahunan sebesar 1,1%. Selain itu, Tingkat Pertumbuhan PDB meningkat sebesar 0,2% dibandingkan kuartal sebelumnya, sementara pembacaan awal memperkirakan perekonomian Kanada akan meningkat sebesar 0,4% pada bulan Januari.
