古尔斯比表示投资者只听到了想听到的信息，反驳了市场对美联储降息计划的猜测。克里夫兰联储主席梅斯特表示市场对美联储降息的预期“稍稍超期”于美联储，关键还是在于货币政策需要保持紧缩多久。威廉姆斯表示，美联储目前并没有真正的在讨论降息，必要时还会继续加息。
根据芝商所美联储利率观察工具，预计2024年年底联邦基金利率的范围最有可能是3.75%-4%，即降息150个基点，降息幅度超过美联储的预期。
技术面：黄金上周议息会议期间大涨，但随后没有延续，震荡的概率增大，短线上方关注2055美元一线的阻力，下方关注2000美元的支撑。
