汇丰银行全球研究所表示，英镑看来将在第二季度结束时成为G10货币中表现最强劲的货币，因高于预期的通胀数据导致市场预期英国央行将不得不继续加息。欧元兑美元在4月份反弹，但5月份下跌了3%，而日元兑美元在5月大幅下跌，原因是日本央行坚持宽松政策，导致美日利差扩大。美元指数在102.60附近震荡；非美货币涨跌不一，澳元兑美元回到0.6610，欧元兑美元来到1.0950附近，离岸人民币到达7.22。现货黄金在1915美元附近徘徊，现货白银在22.8美元附近震荡。原油下跌至67.6美元。
