司马迁因为李陵事件仗义执言，被判宫刑，而汉代的刑罚，都是可以折算成赎金的，也就是只要有钱，那都不是事。司马迁的宫刑要上缴多少钱呢？是一万二千五百钱。司马迁作为太史令（相当于现在的正处级）每个月的月薪是六千五百钱，赎金相当于司马迁二个月工资。但司马迁居然缴不起罚金，还说：“家贫，财赂不足以自救赎，交游莫救，左右亲近不为一言”。司马迁父亲司马谈也是太史令，他属于官二代。那么，好奇的问题是：司马迁的钱花哪里去了？
