MACD指标在外汇黄金及股票市场上的运用极为广泛，其背离的用法更是颇具经典。
说起指标的背离，可能有些新手觉得陌生，用一句话来解读指标的背离，那就是：当价格和指标线的走势相反时就形成了指标的背离现象。用在MACD指标上，那就是当价格和MACD指标线走势相反时就形成了MACD背离。有两种情况：当价格越走越高，而MACD却越走越低；或者，当价格越走越低，而MACD却在逐步走高。这两种情况也就是常说的MACD指标的顶背离和底背离。
MACD顶背
当市场价格在相对高位区域持续走高而此时MACD指标却逐步走低，这就形成了MACD顶背离现象。如上图红色方框标记处。从蜡烛K线上看，K线走势一波比一波高，而此时MACD柱却一波比一波低，就形成了MACD顶背离卖出信号。当然，并不是所有的MACD顶背离都是可以直接进场卖出的。实际分析中，当MACD形成顶背离时，还是结合其它信号进行综合分析后在决定是否进场卖出为好。在市场重要阻力位附近形成的顶背离参考价值较高。不过有一点是肯定的，那就是当顶背离发生时，多头是要考虑是否获利平仓或者提紧止损。
