财多不富，独财能招千金；官多不荣，独官能压万民。凡大富者，或财只有一位，但旺而得生；或财星成局而为独旺。前者必日元旺相，后者须身弱无根。否则穷命。凡大贵者，或官只有一位亦旺而得生，或官星成局而为独旺。前者须身旺能胜任，后者必身弱无帮扶且无根。否则贱命。
财要藏，官要露；财藏官露，当作贵推。财为养命之源，财星藏在地支，或属于地支藏干，则不怕劫，也就是能把握住财，一分钱财发一分光，命主就能够富贵。官乃荣身之物，既言“荣”，则必要显山露水，否则不能发福，也就一生没有荣耀，当不了官，没有名气。
