《传习录》“私欲日生，如地上尘。日不扫，便又有一层。”人的欲望如同尘土，欲望一生，心尘便起。一天不打扫，心上便铺满一层。必须立即清扫，否则多了积成堆，不但清扫起来费劲，想清扫干净更是难上加难。正如佛家所说：时时勤拂拭，勿使惹尘埃。阳明先生认为，人心就像是一面镜子。要想心如明镜，就要用功打磨，使之能够清晰而不被迷惑。所谓修身养性，功夫全在这里面。贪欲一分一分减少，道行一分一分增加。当欲望少之又少，人便进入一种顺其自然的境地。也就是道家所谓“无为而无不为”，儒家所谓“从心所欲”，佛家所谓“圆觉”的大自由境地。心灵便得到全然解脱，给点阳光就灿烂，幸福也会不求自来。好的人生，总是在做减法。当你产生某种执念时，不妨反问自己：对我而言，这些真的重要吗？不必要的东西，理应尽早舍弃。割掉人生的赘肉，才能轻松前行。
