以前有个村里的武师收了一群徒弟，其中有个笨小孩因为是熟人介绍，没办法就留了下来，别的徒弟长拳短打样样精通，惟独这个笨小孩没办法教，师傅也只好叫他什么也不学，就每天对着一棵树踢。就这样过了几年，一天邻村一个武师带着一帮徒弟上门比武，没想到本村武师的徒弟一个个败下阵来，眼看名声就要付诸东流，最后这个笨小孩说：师傅让我试试吧。这个武师一想，也没其他办法，好歹让他试试吧。没想到笨小孩因为几年就练一招，出腿又快又准，将邻村武师的徒弟全部打败，为师傅挽回了名誉。
——做交易，不用招招通，只要一招精！！所谓自废武功，才能成功。大概也就是化繁为简的意思吧。
