Netflix Catatkan Laba US$2,3 Miliar

Pasardana.id - Perusahaan penyedia layanan streaming video Netflix pada Jumat (19/4/2024) mengumumkan lonjakan perolehan laba pada kuartal pertama tahun ini, mencapai US$2,3 miliar atau sekitar Rp37,4 triliun.

Jumlah pelanggan bertambah 9,3 juta orang, membuat total jumlah pelanggan mencapai 270 juta orang. Pertumbuhan pelanggan terjadi setelah Netflix menertibkan password sharing yang sebelumnya terjadi.

Pendapatan kuartal pertama meningkat 15 persen year-on-year menjadi US$9,37 miliar.

Netflix akan berhenti melaporkan jumlah pelanggan dalam laporan kuartalan mulai tahun depan. Para investor menyebut tindakan tersebut mengindikasikan lonjakan pertumbuhan pelanggan yang selama ini dinikmati Netflix telah berakhir.

Saham Netflix yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek New York, Amerika Serikat, terjun 4,85 persen dalam sesi perdagangan after-hours.
