Unilever Berhentikan 7.500 Karyawan

Pasardana.id - Unilever pada Selasa (19/3/2024) mengumumkan pemberhentian 7.500 karyawan secara bertahap untuk tiga tahun ke depan.

Selain itu, perusahaan FMCG asal Inggris tersebut juga berencana untuk membentuk unit bisnis es krim tersendiri, yang mencakup Wall’s, Ben & Jerry’s, dan Magnum.

Seperti dilansir BBC News, proses pembentukan unit bisnis tersebut akan dimulai secepatnya dan diharapkan tuntas pada 2025.

Pemberhentian karyawan yang dilakukan mencakup 5 persen jumlah karyawan Unilever secara global, yang diperkirakan mencapai sekitar 128.000 orang saat ini.

Unilever berharap dapat menghemat 800 juta poundsterling dalam tiga tahun melalui proses PHK yang dilakukan.

Setelah mengumumkan rencana pemberhentian karyawan, saham Unilever di Bursa Efek London melambung 5 persen.
