IDXChannel - Nilai tukar rupiah sore ini ditutup menguat 50 poin ke level Rp15.654, setelah sebelumnya sempat naik 65 poin di level Rp15.705.
Pengamat Pasar Uang, Ibrahim Assuaibi mengatakan, indeks dolar AS melemah karena Powell mengatakan dalam pidatonya semalam bahwa The Fed berniat menurunkan suku bunga pada 2024, sebuah skenario yang menjadi pertanda baik bagi aset-aset yang tidak memberikan imbal hasil.
Jelang Sabda Powell, Rupiah Pangkas Pelemahan“Namun Powell masih memberikan sedikit petunjuk mengenai waktu dan skala pemotongan yang direncanakan, dengan menyatakan bahwa jalur perekonomian dan inflasi AS kemungkinan besar akan menentukan pelonggaran moneter,” kata Ibrahim dalam risetnya, Kamis (7/3/2024).
Ketua Fed juga mengatakan, bank sentral perlu lebih diyakinkan bahwa inflasi mendekati target tahunan 2%.
