Pasardana.id - Harga minyak dunia naik pada Senin (19/2/2024) dipicu mencuatnya tensi geopolitik di Timur Tengah.

Seperti dilansir Reuters, harga minyak West Texas Intermediate (WTI) untuk pengiriman Maret 2024 naik 30 sen menjadi US$79,49 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange.

Harga minyak mentah Brent untuk pengiriman April 2024 meningkat 9 sen menjadi US$83,56 per barel di London ICE Futures Exchange.

Ketegangan di Timur Tengah mencuat usai Israel melakukan serangan terhadap Rumah Sakit Nasser di Jalur Gaza akhir pekan lalu, membuat rumah sakit tersebut tidak dapat melayani pasien lagi.

Sebelumnya kelompok militer Houthi menyerang kapal kargo Rubymar di Teluk Aden sehingga berisiko tenggelam sebagai bentuk solidaritas terhadap warga Palestina.

Volume perdagangan di pasar minyak global terbatasi berlangsungnya libur President Day di Amerika Serikat.
