Harga Minyak Dunia Naik Dipicu Tensi Geopolitik Timur Tengah

Pasardana.id - Harga minyak dunia naik pada Jumat (16/2/2024) dipicu mencuatnya tensi geopolitik di Timur Tengah.

Seperti dilansir Reuters, harga minyak West Texas Intermediate (WTI) untuk pengiriman Maret 2024 naik US$1,16, atau sekitar 1,49 persen, menjadi US$79,19 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange.

Harga minyak mentah Brent untuk pengiriman April 2024 meningkat 61 sen, atau sekitar 0,74 persen, menjadi US$83,47 per barel di London ICE Futures Exchange.

Dalam sepekan terakhir, harga minyak WTI dan Brent masing-masing naik sekitar 3 persen dan 1 persen.

Hezbollah telah menembakkan puluhan roket ke wilayah utara Israel sebagai bentuk tindak balasan atas terbunuhnya 10 warga sipil di selatan Lebanon.

Mencuatnya tensi geopolitk di Timur Tengah menutupi laporan International Energy Agency yang menyebutkan bahwa permintaan minyak mentah global kehilangan momentum pada 2024. 

Permintaan diperkirakan hanya akan mencapai 1,22 juta barel per hari, lebih rendah dari ekspektasi sebelumnya 1,24 juta barel per hari.
