Snap Berhentikan 10 Persen Karyawan

Pasardana.id - Perusahaan media sosial Snap yang mengoperasikan Snapchat, pada Senin (5/2/2024) mengumumkan rencana pemberhentian 10 persen karyawan.

Seperti dilansir BBC News, Snap memiliki sekitar 5.000 karyawan pada November 2023 lalu, sehingga jumlah karyawan yang akan diberhentikan mencapai 500 orang.

Pengumuman rencana pemberhentian karyawan dilakukan sebelum Snap merilis laporan perolehan laba kuartal empat 2023. Pada kuartal sebelumnya, Snap mengalami kerugian US$368 juta atau sekitar Rp5,8 triliun.

“Kami berfokus mendukung para karyawan yang diberhentikan dan sangat berterimakasih atas kerja keras dan kontribusi mereka terhadap Snap,” ungkap juru bicara Snap.

Pada Agustus 2022 lalu, Snap telah memberhentikan sekitar 20 persen dari total jumlah karyawan saat itu.
