Pasardana.id - Harga minyak dunia naik pada Rabu (3/1/2024) dipicu terganggunya produksi minyak mentah Libya.

Seperti dilansir Reuters, harga minyak West Texas Intermediate (WTI) untuk pengiriman Februari 2024 naik US$2,32, atau sekitar 3,3 persen, menjadi US$72,70 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange.

Harga minyak mentah Brent untuk pengiriman Maret 2024 meningkat US$2,36, atau sekitar 3,1 persen, menjadi US$78,25 per barel di London ICE Futures Exchange.

Aksi demonstrasi yang berlangsung di Libya membuat produksi minyak di ladang Sharara sebesar 300.000 barel per hari terhenti.

Peningkatan harga minyak dunia juga disebabkan meningkatnya tensi geopolitik Timur Tengah setelah Israel meningkatkan pemboman di Jalur Gaza dan terbunuhnya wakil pimpinan kelompok militer Hamas dalam sebuah serangan drone di Beirut, Lebanon.
