Pasardana.id - Harga minyak dunia naik pada Selasa (26/12/2023) dipicu meningkatnya tensi geopolitik Timur Tengah.

Seperti dilansir Reuters, harga minyak West Texas Intermediate (WTI) untuk pengiriman Februari 2024 naik US$2,01, atau sekitar 2,7 persen, menjadi US$75,57 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange.

Harga minyak mentah Brent untuk pengiriman Februari 2023 meningkat US$2, atau sekitar 2,5 persen, menjadi US$81,07 per barel di London ICE Futures Exchange.

Kelompok militer Houthi mengaku bertanggung jawab atas serangan rudal terhadap sebuah kapal tanker minyak di Laut Merah pada Selasa, serta sebuah serangan drone terhadap Israel.

Perusahaan-perusahaan pengapalan telah menghentikan pengiriman kapal melalui Laut Merah dan menetapkan surcharge terhadap kapal-kapal yang harus diubah rutenya. Laut Merah terhubung dengan Terusan Suez yang digunakan oleh sekitar 12 persen perdagangan global.
