Inflasi Inggris Alami Penurunan Tajam

Pasardana.id - Inflasi Inggris mengalami penurunan tajam pada Oktober 2023, mencapai angka terendah dalam dua tahun terakhir dipicu merosotnya harga energi.

Seperti dilansir BBC News, Rabu (15/11/2023), angka inflasi hanya mencapai 4,6 persen bulan lalu, jauh lebih rendah dari angka 6,7 persen pada September.

Inflasi Inggris sempat mencapai angka tertinggi 11,1 persen pada Oktober 2022 dipengaruhi meroketnya harga minyak usai Rusia menginvasi Ukraina.

Semakin stabilnya harga minyak dunia membuat inflasi Inggris terus melandai.

Keputusan Bank of England untuk meningkatkan suku bunga turut berpengaruh karena menahan laju peningkatan harga barang.

Suku bunga bank sentral Inggris saat ini 5,25 persen yang merupakan angka tertinggi dalam 15 tahun terakhir.

Harga makanan di Inggris hanya sedikit berubah pada Oktober, sedangkan harga sewa kamar hotel telah mengalami penurunan yang signifikan.
