Erdogan Klaim Pasukannya Berhasil Tewaskan Pemimpin ISIS
Presiden Turki Recep Tayyip Erdogan mengumumkan bahwa pihaknya telah menewaskan pemimpin kelompok negara Islam (Daesh/ISIS). Sebelumnya Badan Intelijen Nasional (MIT) telah sejak lama memburu pemimpin ISIS yang memiliki nama sandi Abu Hussein al-Qurayshi.
Al-Qurayshi menjadi pemimpin ISIS pada November 2022, Ia meneruskan pemimpin sebelumnya yakni Abu Hasan al-Hashimi al-Qurashi, yang tewas di Suriah. Alasan Turki memburu pemimpin ISIS lantaran, Turki kerap kali mendapat teror yang menyebabkan ratusan korban berjatuhan.
