Rupiah Dibayangi Kekhawatiran Pasar Akan Stagflasi

KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Laju tren positif rupiah terhenti pada Rabu (10/11). Di pasar spot, rupiah melemah 0,03% ke level Rp 14.254 per dollar Amerika Serikat (AS). Di JISDOR, rupiah melemah 0,14% ke Rp 14.253 per dollar AS.
Analis Global Kapital Investama Alwi Assegaf mengatakan, pelemahan rupiah dipicu kekhawatiran pasar akan stagflasi di China setelah merilis kenaikan data inflasi. Nasib rupiah hari ini (11/11), masih seputar kenaikan harga, yaitu inflasi Oktober AS yang diperkirakan mencapai 4,3%-5,9% atau jauh lebih tinggi daripada target 2%.
Kondisi itu dapat mencuatkan kembali rencana The Fed menaikkan bunga lebih cepat dari perkiraan untuk meredam inflasi. Potensi stagflasi di AS juga dapat mendorong investor risk off dan mendorong kenaikan indeks dollar dan yield obligasi. "Hari ini saja, yield US Treasury sudah naik 4 bps ke level 1,48%," kata Ekonom Bank Permata Josua Pardede, kemarin.
Dia bilang, jika rilis data inflasi AS sesuai ekspektasi, maka rupiah hari ini berpotensi melemah terbatas di kisaran Rp 14.200-Rp 14.300 per dollar AS.Sementara Alwi memprediksi rupiah melemah di kisaran Rp 14.230-Rp 14.290 per dollar AS.
