Coinbase Registers to Open Cryptocurrency Futures Trading Service

After receiving approval from the National Commodity Futures Association (NFA), Coinbase still needs to register with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to get the full green light.
Coinbase will expect the transition to futures and derivatives to be much smoother than it plans to offer a lending product in USDC. Because recently, the exchange was threatened with lawsuits by the SEC if it continued to offer this product. This week, Coinbase also sold $2 billion worth of junk bonds in an offering.
