日本总人口降至1.26亿
日本总务省25日公布的最新人口普查统计数据显示，截至2020年10月1日，包括外国人在内的日本总人口约为1.26亿，比2015年减少约86.8万人。
这是日本开始人口普查以来人口总数第二次出现减少。
从男女比例来看，男性约为6136万，而女性约为6486.7万；共有家庭约5572万户；每户平均人口为2.27人，刷新了自1970年以来最低纪录。总务省表示，高龄单身家庭正在增加。
日媒指出，受新冠疫情影响，日本出生人数将会继续下降，日本政府需制定对策以应对目前严峻形势。
日本人口普查每5年进行一次，被视为日本最重要的统计调查。
