智通财经APP获悉，美国食品和药物管理局(FDA)于当地时间周五批准Moderna(MRNA.US)公共卫生事件相关疫苗mRNA-1273的紧急使用授权(EUA)。这是继辉瑞(PFE.US)/BioNTech(BNTX.US)疫苗之后，美国批准的第二个相关疫苗。
获批后，Moderna将立即开始向美国政府提供疫苗，预计将在本月底前交付约2000万剂疫苗。美国联邦政府将于下周向全国各个主要城市分发约590万剂Moderna疫苗。
迄今为止，美国政府已订购了2亿剂Moderna疫苗，并有权再购买3亿剂。Moderna将继续收集更多数据，并计划在2021年向FDA提交生物制品许可申请，以求获得完全许可。
此外，该公司于当地时间周五宣布，欧盟委员会行使其选择权，购买额外的8000万剂疫苗，使其总订单达到1.6亿剂。在获得欧盟药品管理局(EMA)的监管批准后，Moderna预计将于2021年初开始向欧洲交付疫苗。
据悉，mRNA-1273疫苗的全球订单目前已增加到4.7亿剂以上。
