At 4.30 am ET Thursday, IHS Markit is set to publish UK final manufacturing PMI data for September. Ahead of the data, the pound fell sharply against its major rivals.
The pound was worth 1.2878 against the greenback, 135.90 against the yen, 1.1844 against the franc and 0.9112 against the euro as of 4:25 am ET.
