此前该公司公布的二季度亏损额较上年同期有所收窄，而调整后盈利超过了分析师的预期。黑莓二季度录得亏损2300万美元，而上年同期为亏损4400万美元。该公司的亏损为每股4美分，而上年同期的亏损为每股10美分。
黑莓报告称，调整后的利润为每股11美分。根据FactSet的数据，分析师预计调整后利润为每股2美分。公司营收为2.59亿美元，比去年同期的可比季度增长6.1%。调整后营收为2.66亿美元，高于华尔街预期。
