智通财经APP获悉，美国国会预算办公室(CBO)周一表示，美国政府的债务将在未来30年内膨胀到几乎是经济规模的两倍，这提高了财政危机及国债价值下降的风险。
这家无党派机构在其长期预算展望中预计，2050年美国债务将达到国内生产总值的195%，高于今年的98%和2019年的79%。相比之下，此前的预测为2050年美国债务将达到国内生产总值的180%。
CBO主任Phillip Swagel在一份声明中表示，虽然低利率表明债务目前是可控的，财政政策可以用来解决国家优先事项，但未来几十年的预算路径是不可持续的，借贷成本最终将成为一个问题。
不过，近年来，一些学者越来越多地对这种观点提出异议。现代货币理论学派认为，像美国这样用本国货币借贷的国家，只要通胀率保持在可控范围内，就不需要担心不断上升的债务。
