肯尼亚监管机构禁止无牌经纪商使用M-Pesa
据悉，肯尼亚中央银行已向该国所有支付服务提供商发出通知，要求其停止向不受监管的经纪商提供服务。
虽然该监管机构尚未公告任何有关禁令的内容，但至少有一家在肯尼亚提供服务的无证经纪商已停止使用广泛使用的M-Pesa接受入金。
该经纪商还要求其客户使用M-Pesa从真实账户中提取所有资金，然后使用比特币或Skrill进行进一步的存款和提款。
Finance Magnates联系了肯尼亚央行和肯尼亚资本市场管理局以确认此举，但截至发稿时并未收到任何回复。
肯尼亚监管机构多次警告所有在该国经营的但却没有适当牌照的在线外汇经纪商或基金经理，并命令他们停止在肯尼亚交易和招揽客户。但是，许多实体仍在提供服务。
目前，肯尼亚只有三家受监管的经纪商--EGM Securities，该公司是Equiti集团在肯尼亚的业务，在当地的交易品牌名为FXPesa；SCFM Limited，品牌名为Scope Markets；以及Pepperstone Markets Kenya Limited。
在多次警告无效后，该国监管机构试图从支付公司入手似乎是一个有效的举措。
该国央行在2020年8月25日发布的通知中表示在线外汇（外汇）经纪商和交易商中出现了很多不受监管的欺诈性实体。这些实体向客户承诺巨额回报，而且没有按规定获得许可。这些冒牌实体可能会给投资者带来巨大损失，并给金融部门带来洗钱和资助恐怖主义的风险。"
