Coronavirus update: Germany registers 630 news cases, 13 deaths with a softer R-rate

As per the latest coronavirus (COVID-19) updates from Germany’s Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the number of confirmed cases rose to 192,079 with a total of 8,927 deaths.

Cases surged by the highest in four-day, 630, in Germany on Thursday versus Wednesday +587. The death count rose 13 compared to 19 prior, the tally showed.

Considering the latest data, the institute’s virus reproduction rate (R-value) stays around 0.72, in terms of the four-day average, whereas the 7-day average is at 1.17, suggesting  weakness from the previous day.

EUR/USD extends recovery moves…

Following the news, EUR/USD stretches its pullback from 1.1240 to 1.1250. However, the broad risk-off sentiment remains on the table amid the fears of global trade war and virus resurgence in the US.
