美国运通因外汇舞弊行为接受FBI调查
据《华尔街日报》报道，美国运通公司正在接受联邦调查局（FBI）的调查。此次调查的起因是美国运通的外汇部门涉嫌舞弊。报告显示，美国运通以优惠汇率吸引客户。一旦这些客户注册了美国运通的服务，美国运通就会毫无预兆地抬高价格。
FBI正在搜集有关此案的证据，并已经与美国运通进行了沟通，目前正等待该公司回答一系列问题。
对美国运通来说，唯一值得庆幸的是其外汇部门规模很小，该部门所创造收入仅占美国运通总收入的0.5%。
早在今年7月，有报道称美国运通雇员经常在不通知客户的情况下提高汇价，以增加收入和佣金。且管理层指示销售代表在讨论付款问题时故意含糊其辞，不以书面形式标价。
美国运通的员工声称，他们可以为货币兑换或海外转账提供最优惠的价格。然后，他们会在不告知客户的情况下提高保证金费用。美国运通的现有员工和曾经雇员都表示，这种做法从2004年就开始了。
目前，联邦调查局的案件调查情况尚不清楚。■
