This Teaches Me How Emotions Can Be Manipulated in Trading

As someone still learning about trading, reading about this crypto scam in Taiwan honestly scares me, but it’s also a big wake-up call. When you're new, it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of crypto trading — especially when people online seem to have everything figured out. Scammers know this, so they prey on emotions, building false trust through fake relationships. The fact that they used online dating apps to lure victims in is disturbing, but it also makes me realize how vulnerable emotions can make us when it comes to money. In this case, the victims were led to believe they were making investments on legitimate trading sites, only to find out later that they were simply being scammed. This shows me that, as a beginner, I need to stay focused on facts, research, and platforms that are transparent and regulated, not follow the emotional pull of someone promising quick profits.

Another lesson I’ve learned from this case is that trading, especially in crypto, can be overwhelming at first, but there’s no need to rush. Scammers use the illusion of speed and ease to manipulate victims into making hasty decisions. For me, this reinforces the importance of slowing down and asking the right questions before making any move. If something sounds too good to be true or if I’m being pressured to act quickly, that’s a huge red flag. I’d rather take the time to build my skills and knowledge than rush into something that might seem promising but could end in loss. This case teaches me the value of being patient and cautious, especially when it comes to my money.
