Peso Meksiko mengabaikan data buruk
Peso Meksiko diperdagangkan relatif datar pada hari Selasa meskipun data terbaru menunjukkan penurunan Penjualan Ritel Meksiko secara bulanan dan tahunan.
Meskipun data menunjukkan tingginya suku bunga yang diberlakukan oleh Bank of Mexico (Banxico) mungkin mempunyai efek yang diinginkan dalam mendinginkan perekonomian, Banxico belum memberi isyarat bahwa mereka sedang terburu-buru untuk menurunkan suku bunga.
Pada hari Jumat, Deputi Gubernur Banxico, Irene Espinosa, mengatakan menurutnya suku bunga harus tetap pada tingkat saat ini sampai inflasi diturunkan secara berkelanjutan.
