Pengambil kebijakan Bank Sentral Eropa (ECB) Gediminas Simkus mengatakan pada hari Senin bahwa penurunan suku bunga tidak boleh dibatasi hanya pada bulan Juni kecuali ada kejutan dalam data, menurut Reuters.

“Pemikiran saya adalah bahwa ada beberapa penurunan suku bunga lagi di masa depan, tapi saya akan membatasi diri untuk menjelaskan berapa banyak, bahkan jika saya sudah menyatakan bahwa tahun ini, saya memperkirakan tiga penurunan,” tambah Simkus.
