“Sebelum memangkas suku bunga, kita harus yakin berdasarkan data bahwa inflasi akan benar-benar mencapai target kita secara tepat waktu dan berkelanjutan,” kata pembuat kebijakan Bank Sentral Eropa (ECB) dan Kepala Bundesbank Joachim Nagel pada hari Selasa.

“Jika prospek inflasi bulan Maret yang baik dikonfirmasi dalam proyeksi bulan Juni dan data yang masuk mendukung perkiraan ini, kami dapat mempertimbangkan penurunan suku bunga,” jelas Nagel lebih lanjut.
