FxPro汇评：美联储的噩梦吗？
美国1月份的住房开工数量大幅下降了14.8%至133.1万套，扭转了连续四个月的增长趋势，并使该数据回到了去年的低点。这与分析师平均预期的145万套形成了鲜明对比。发放的建筑许可数量下降幅度较小，比预期的151万份下降了1.5%，至147万份。
FxPro高级分析师Alex Kuptsikevich指出：这一数据低于预期，加剧了人们对于零售销售数据令人失望后最终需求放缓的担忧。对于美元而言，这是不利的消息，因为它让货币宽松的日期更加临近。
然而，与此论点相对的是通胀。上个月核心生产者物价指数（PPI）月环比上涨0.5%，年同比加速至2.0%。经济学家平均预期同比放缓至1.6%。这是继本周早些时候乐观的消费者价格指数（CPI）数据后的又一次通胀惊喜。
这难道不是美联储担心的加速通胀和经济放缓同时发生的实现吗？在我们看来，在这种环境下，FOMC更有可能选择延长暂停，这对股市可能是不利的，但对美元可能是有利的。
