 Sebuah firma penasihat maritim Sea-Intelligence mengatakan gangguan pengiriman akibat serangan pemberontak Houthi di Laut Merah sudah lebih merusak rantai pasokan dibandingkan awal pandemi COVID-19.

 Penurunan kapasitas kapal ini merupakan yang terbesar kedua dalam beberapa tahun terakhir.  Satu-satunya peristiwa yang memiliki dampak lebih besar daripada krisis Laut Merah adalah “Ever Give”, kapal kargo raksasa yang terjebak di Terusan Suez selama enam hari pada bulan Maret 2021.
