5年期复利102%骗局，Titanium已被SEC指控
12月14日，美国证券交易委员会（SEC）指控Titanium Capital LLC（Titanium）及其创始人Henry Abdo运营庞氏骗局，从全球超160名零售投资者手中筹集了超530万美元。 
据SEC称，自2014年以来，Titanium谎称公司将投资者的资金投入到了专有货币交易所支持的“多货币投资基金”中，并谎称投资从未有过月度亏损，为投资者带来了大额利润，五年期复利高达102%。
虽然该公司与其创始人自称Titanium在美国SEC注册并受该机构的仔细审查，但SEC发现这家公司并没有提供或销售SEC注册证券产品，所谓的专有货币交易所也并不存在。
SEC还发现，被告们还利用几乎所有的投资者资金向早期投资者支付庞氏骗局式的款项，还将资金用于创始人的个人消费，如购买珠宝和赌博。
同样遭到起诉的还有为该公司招揽投资者的代表Carol Ann Barsh。
美国证券交易委员会执法部副主任Carolyn M. Welshhans说：“正如我们的诉状中所说，Abdo和Titanium向投资者谎称公司在SEC注册并受其仔细核验。据称，Abdo和Titanium利用这些和其他欺诈手段向投资者提供虚假的安慰，而自己则将投资者的资金用于环球旅行和个人享受。”
