当地时间11月28日上午，著名投资机构伯克希尔·哈撒韦公司发表声明称，该公司副主/ 席、沃伦·巴菲特重要搭档查理·芒格在加州一家医院离世。巴菲特在声明中表示：“没有查理的灵感、智慧和参与，伯克希尔不可能取得今天的成就。”
芒格出生于1924年，二战爆发后从密歇根大学休学从军，战后进入哈佛大学法学院就读，在1962年投身投资界。在结识巴菲特后二人于1975年合伙经营伯克希尔·哈撒韦公司。
在职业生涯中，芒格不仅取得了丰厚的投资回报，还将其“价值投资”原则推向全球投资界，并常因抨击美国金融界的许多不当行为登上新闻。截至2022年3月2日，芒格持有的股票价值约为21亿美元，到2023年初，他的总净资产约为25亿美元。
