CFTC奖励诈骗举报人，已发放3.5亿美元奖金
今年，美国商品期货交易委员会（CFTC）向举报人发放了1600万美元奖金，其中包含了发放给两名举报人的1500万美元奖金。这两名举报人不仅向监管机构提供了重要信息还给与了很多协助，帮助CFTC成功对执法案件提起了诉讼。
据悉，CFTC已累计奖励举报人近3.5亿美元。
CFTC的委员Christy Goldsmith Romero认为：“举报人在监管机构有关欺诈和其他违法案件的调查中扮演着至关重要的角色。没有他们，CFTC就无法完全保护消费者和市场。举报人帮助我们鉴别欺诈和其他违法行为、解释关键证据，为CFTC节省了大量的资源和时间。我们越快阻止欺诈，就越能保护消费者免遭欺诈。”
Christy Goldsmith Romero还表示，CFTC设立的“吹哨人计划（Whistleblower Program）”也是为激励举报人挺身而出而制定。该计划不仅为举报人提供了金钱奖励措施，还为其提供保密措施以保护举报人安全。举报人在对CFTC的执法工作提供帮助的同时，还将自己置于极大的职业和声誉风险之中。
该CFTC委员还认为，金钱奖励措施对鼓励举报也有很好的效果。今年CFTC收到了1530条举报线索，为历年之最。其中有不少的线索都与当今欺诈盛行的加密货币领域有关。
