美联储主席：美联储官员预计美国不会出现经济衰退
北京时间11月2日凌晨2时，美联储发布的议息决议显示，将联邦基金利率的目标区间维持在5.25%-5.5%不变，依旧保持在22年来的最高点，符合此前的市场预期。
鲍威尔表示，美联储官员预计不会出现经济衰退。此前，美联储官员曾预测美国经济会出现温和衰退，但在9月会议之前向政策制定者所做的报告中，他们取消了这一预测。
“最近的指标显示，经济活动一直在以强劲的步伐扩张，远高于早前预期。”鲍威尔指出，在消费支出激增的推动下，第三季实际国内生产总值(GDP)预计将以4.9%的年率环比增长。
鲍威尔提及，房地产行业活动在夏季有所回升之后目前趋于平缓，但仍远低于一年前水平，这在很大程度上反映了抵押贷款利率的上升。这一利率的上升似乎对企业固定投资也造成了压力。
鲍威尔还提及，近几个月来，受美债长期收益率上升等因素的推动，金融环境明显收紧。“由于金融环境的持续变化可能对货币政策的路径产生影响，我们密切关注金融发展。”
鲍威尔表示，鉴于不确定性和风险，以及目前已取得的进展，委员会正在谨慎行事，“将会考虑货币政策的累计收紧程度，货币政策对经济活动和通胀影响的滞后程度，以及经济和金融发展情况。”
