S11 Interview | @FIRE 4EX, 3rd Place in the Large Account Group

1. Firstly, kindly introduce yourself and your team!

  • My name is Enrique originally from Spain but currently living part of the year in Australia and the rest in Spain.
  • We are a team of 3 people in total. One programmer develops the EAs based on my inputs and my trading experience and another person is more focused on marketing and client support. Our team is a mix of Australians and Spanish.
  • I’m the only member of the team with a Forex trading background. I have been trading forex for over 15 years.

2. What kind of traders are you?

  • We are still trading as a side hustle but shifting progressively into a more professional way as our systems are becoming more and more popular.
  • Also, the type of trading we do varies from mean reversion to scalping and breakout strategies. As long as we find that we can have an edge in the market with a strategy, we try to make the most of it.

3. What is the most important trading tool in your opinion? Why?

  • Well, this is a really difficult question. I guess I have tested a lot of trading tools over these more than 15 years of trading. But I would say that if I’m trading manually I like to use trade imbalances and find where the smart money is at the moment. The only indicators I use for this are RSI, MACD and supply and demand levels, but it takes time to develop enough experience to see how the smart money is moving the market.
  • The other most important tool for me is robots or EAs, as they call them in MetaTrader. And robots are the most important trading tool for our business, all our systems use robots.

4. Will you research various kinds of trading cycle analysis?

♠  As I said before, if I’m trading manually, I always look for what many people call smart money concepts. Those are trading cycles based on reversals after a large move has been developed, there are a few signs showing you that the smart money is getting ready for a reversal.

5. What s the most confusing thing during your trading?

♥  The difficult question again. When you have enough experience in the market and you understand what’s going on in most of the movements, there aren’t a lot of confusing things. I always say, if you don’t understand something, such why a market movement has happened, is better to avoid putting your money in, that’s more gambling than trading/investing.

♥  But I would say that at the beginning of my trading career, there were a lot of confusing things when trading, and the main one was understanding why a movement happened despite the news, there’s always something behind big movements or trends.

6. Would you please tell us the reason why your team participate in the S11?

♣  We like to challenge ourselves and show other investors that robots are a great tool for trading when there’s a good strategy behind them.

♣  Also, we participated in the previous contest too, S10, but we couldn’t finish in the top 3. I think we finished 4th or 5th.

7. Can you make a summary of your S11 experience and how do you feel about FOLLOWME Trading Community?

♦  We have used our signals for the trading contest S11, so the trading experience during the contest has been no different than these almost the last 2 years since we released our first signal.

♦  I feel the FOLLOWME community has a lot of potentials and that’s a really good thing in this competitive world, but I would say that FOLLOWME is too focused on China and it’s difficult for traders from other parts of the world as us. I guess it’ll expand eventually.
