国际论文被引次数，中国在这四个领域排名世界第一
2021年12月27日，中国科学技术信息研究所在北京发布了《2021年中国科技论文统计报告》（以下简称《报告》）。根据《报告》，2011年至2021年，中国有10个学科产出论文的比例超过世界该学科论文的20%。按国际论文被引用次数统计，中国在材料科学、化学、计算机科学、工程技术等4个领域排名世界第1位——与上年度相比，增加了计算机科学领域。农业科学、生物与生物化学、环境与生态学等10个领域论文的被引用次数排名世界第2位。
2001-2020年总被引频次和影响因子指标变化情况
统计结果显示，截至2021年9月，中国高被引论文数为4.29万篇，占世界份额的24.8%，数量比2020年增加了15.5%，世界排名保持在第2位；中国的热点论文数为1515篇，占世界总量的36.3%，数量比2020年增加了10.2%，世界排名保持在第2位。
