最初版维基百科主页NFT作品以75万美元成交
据报道，两件与维基百科相关的物品于12月15日在佳士得拍卖行成交，这两件物品都来自维基百科联合创始人Jimmy Wales。
在这场名为“维基百科诞生”的在线拍卖中，Jimmy Wales编辑的首个维基百科主页NFT作品以75万美元的价格售出，而他用来创建维基百科的Strawberry iMac以18.75万美元的价格售出。
该NFT作品保留了2001年维基百科主页的布局，同时还允许所有者编辑页面，通过使用计时器重置页面，使其恢复到原始状态。2001年，Jimmy Wales在维基百科上发布了首条信息“你好，世界!”。今年1月，维基百科迎来20周年纪念日。
作为世界上最大的拍卖行之一，佳士得于2021年初涉足NFT领域，并于今年2月宣布将拍卖数字艺术家Beeple的首件“纯数字艺术品”。今年3月，Beeple的NFT作品《Everydays: The First 5000 Days》以超过6900万美元的价格售出，成为世界上最昂贵的NFT作品之一。
