MAS和RBI连接新加坡PayNow和印度UPI
新加坡金融管理局(MAS)和印度储备银行(RBI)周二宣布，两家机构计划在2022年7月之前将新加坡的PayNow和印度的Unified Payments Interface(UPI)连接起来。
根据MAS发布的官方声明，该连接将使用户能够在印度和新加坡从一个银行账户到另一个银行账户进行即时和成本效益高的资金转账。
实施后，印度用户将可以通过手机号码向新加坡汇款。另一方面，新加坡用户将能够使用UPI虚拟支付地址(VPA)向印度汇款。
新加坡金融管理局在2021年推出了几项举措，以支持全球支付行业的创新。2021年6月，MAS与国际货币基金组织、世界银行、亚洲开发银行和其他组织建立了伙伴关系，为零售央行数字货币(CBDC)解决方案提出了全球挑战。
MAS和印度央行正计划通过PayNow和UPI之间的连接，使新加坡和印度之间的资金转移过程简单而具有成本效益。
