国务院新闻办公室于2021年1月18日上午10时举行新闻发布会，国家统计局局长宁吉喆介绍2020年国民经济运行情况，并答记者问。
以下为发布会实录：
宁吉喆：过去一年，社会消费品零售总额从全年看仍然是负增长，但是三四季度已经转正，特别是四季度社会消费品零售总额增长达到了4.6%，这个速度已经开始接近前几年的正常水平。12月份社会消费零售总额增速略有一点波动，确实也是受到几个地方散发疫情的影响。但是从整个大势来看，我国消费在生产供给不断增强的同时，还是能够发挥对经济发展的基础性因素。
