🌅 Morning Update (02.12.2025)
📉 Wall Street lost momentum yesterday. The main US benchmark slipped 0.5%, the Nasdaq 100 eased over 0.3%, and the Russell 2000 fell more than 1.2%.
📊 The macro calendar is quiet, but corporate moves are lively. MongoDB 🚀 surged more than 21% after hours on stunning results that shocked analysts. Later today, markets await earnings from CrowdStrike, Marvell Technologies and GitLab.
🎙️ Jerome Powell spoke at Stanford University overnight but avoided any hints on policy or outlook, leaving markets unmoved.
🌏 Asia traded without a clear direction. Tokyo closed flat, while Australia posted soft building permits data (–6.4% vs +4.5% expected), although consumer sentiment improved to 37.5.
🪙 Precious metals are under pressure – silver dropped more than 1.8% and gold slipped over 0.5%. The US dollar firmed slightly, pushing EURUSD back to around 1.16 after failing to break above resistance near 1.165.
💻 In crypto, bitcoin is slowly recovering after yesterday’s sell-off, trading close to 87.5K USD, up from just below 85K. Market mood remains weak – Ethereum is struggling to rebound and hovers around 2,800 USD.
